U18 Lead Professional Development Phase Coach

Position:

Full time

Overall Purpose of Job

Responsible for the design and delivery of the U18 Professional Development Phase programme along with the selection and management of the individuals and team in respect of all leagues, cup, and friendly fixtures.

Working alongside the Multi Disciplinary Academy staff, to ensure a professional, positive and supportive environment is created and that the clubs Values and standards are adhered to and upheld at all times.

Main Responsibilities

 

In conjunction with the Academy Manager, manage the transition of U18 players into the first team.
Liaise daily with the Professional Development Phase staff with regards to player progression and management of both training and game opportunities
Manage the delivery of the technical, tactical and unit development programme for the U18 squad in line with the Academy Playing Philosophy
In conjunction with the Academy Manager and Head of Coaching play an active role in the development and reviewing of the Academy Playing Philosophy
Provide individual feedback reports to the Technical Board on the progress of the U18 players
Design and manage all Individual Development Plans (IDP) for all relevant players to include recording of information on the club’s Performance Management Application (FIP)
Provide feedback to players formally through the Performance Management Application (FIP), individual meetings, 6-week reviews and where appropriate parents and intermediaries
Ensure that Multi-Disciplinary Department Reviews take place every 6 weeks to discuss and review each player’s progression
Liaise with the Recruitment Department with regards to player identification procedures and decision making
In conjunction with the Technical Board play an active role in the decision-making process in terms of player contractual decisions
Update the Players Performance Clock and hold review meetings at appropriate times.
Ensure the Academy Performance Plan underpins the work of the department.
Complete all tasks related to Coach Competency Framework
Ensure your membership of FA Licensed Coaches Club is maintained
Maintain coaching qualifications and other Coaching Qualifications in-line with FA and Premier League rules & regulations
Report any breaches of discipline to the Academy Manager
Complete all necessary paperwork as requested by the Academy Manager, The Premier League/EFL or FA including any other forms should they be requested
Participate in tour and tournaments including leading and managing teams overseas
Report any matters of concern related to your duties to the Academy Manager
Demonstrate commitment to Safeguarding by adhering to relevant policies, procedures and values relating to Safeguarding children and adults at risk
Support the Club’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
 

 

Experience/Qualifications/Training

Essential:

UEFA A Licence
FA Advanced Youth Award
Up to date Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAIF) qualification
Proven track record in the development of academy players
Member of the FA Licenced Coaches’ Club
Experience of a similar role within a category 3 academy or above.
Strong people management skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise
Dedicated to continuous self-improvement and personal development
Must be available to work flexibly
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Hold a full UK driver’s licence

 

Desirable:

UEFA Pro Licence
Understanding of Psychology
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the EPPP process.
Knowledge EFL rules and regulations

Part Time FP / YDP Age Group Coach

Overall Purpose of Job

The Academy are looking to recruit enthusiastic and highly skilled coaches to be part of theAcademy coaching departments across the FP and YDP phases. The successful applicantswill be responsible for the delivery of the academy coaching programme to maximise the opportunities for young players to reach their full potential in line with the academy vision and philosophy. Successful applicants must be available for FP sessions on Tuesday andFriday training nights and Sunday match days. Or for YDP sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday or Sunday match days.

Main Responsibilities

Provide a high standard coaching to a respective age group, educating them in the in line with the BRFC Academy philosophy and methodology as outlines in theAcademy Performance Plan
To ensure that all Academy players adhere the BRFC Values and show a high level ofrespect and discipline and to adhere to the Coaches Code of Conduct.
To assist players to set individual short and long term goals to create Individual ActionPlans for all players
To maintain all coaching and games program records on the FIP (PMA) for each sessionthroughout the season.
To complete player progress reports on the FIP (PMA)
Attend at least two parents evening sessions per season for each individual player in theirsquad.
To develop and maintain a professional relationship with the parents of youngsters in theprogramme.
Complete CPD (Continuous Professional Development) to maintain coachingqualifications.
To work with Head of Coaching in the completion of a personal Coach DevelopmentPlan in line with the BRFC Coach Competency Framework
To maintain FA Licensed Coaches Club membership criteria
To identify players available each weekend for matches and communicate anyadditional player requirements to the Lead Phase Coach at the earliest opportunity.
To support the development of young players in a healthy lifestyle, diet, drug awareness,education.
To take responsibility for the care and maintenance of all age group training equipmentand playing kit.
To attend the 6 weekly coaches meetings or additional training nights as instructed bythe Academy Manager/Head of Academy Coaching.
To assess trialists at both training and games and feedback to the Lead Phase Coach /Head of Academy Recruitment.
To assist with sport science input where required at training sessions.
To attend tournaments and trips when requested by the club.

Head of Commercial

Reports to: CEO

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 9.00 – 5.00 pm + Matchdays 

Role Summary: The role will be responsible for devising and implementing the club’s commercial strategy to drive, retain and develop the business, in order to maximise revenue and profitability for the football club. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To develop a cohesive commercial strategy and plan to enable the club to achieve and exceed commercial targets. 
  • To manage sales plans to achieve targets.
  • To agree and manage budgets as directed by the CEO.
  • To manage relationships with commercial partners.
  • To maximise support for all sales initiatives.
  • Lead the sales team to ensure that hospitality areas are sold out for each fixture.
  • Source new commercial partners at all levels of the club.
  • Maximise the clubs assets to generate as much income as possible to support the clubs infield ambitions.
  • Ensure that events are held regularly at the stadium throughout the season which generate future income for the football club. 
  • Be innovative and creative to develop new revenue streams and commercial opportunities.
  • Drive the commercial strategy for the club to work in tandem with the clubs on field ambitions. 
  • Any other duties as deemed reasonable by the CEO.

General Duties and Accountabilities:

  • To support Bristol Rovers Football Club in their aims and objectives at all times. 
  • To ensure compliance with all relevant club policies, including health and safety policies.
  • To ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements.
  • To keep confidential any information gained regarding the charity, club and its personnel.
  • To represent Bristol Rovers Football Club in a professional manner.

Matchday Safety Steward 

Reports to: Safety Officer

Hours of Work: August to May including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Part-time hours will vary, but a minimum of 4.5 hours per shift will be required

Role Summary:  As a Matchday Safety Steward, you will take an active role in ensuring the provision of the reasonable care, safety, security and customer service to everyone attending Bristol Rovers Football Club matches at the Memorial Stadium. This will include the safety and security of match day officials and players and those attending on a match day.

Main Duties: Reporting to the Safety Officer, the successful candidate will work in a team of staff and ideally have some experience of working in a safety role previously. As part of the role, you will:

  • Be expected to always maintain constant vigilance whilst on duty for anything likely to prejudice spectator safety and notify a Supervisor or the Control Room of any such incident as per your training
  • Be responsible for the safety, security, comfort and service to spectators within their designated area of duty and in so doing enforce when necessary, the Ground Regulations
  • Assist in relevant area searches to identify any Stadium defect or anything likely to cause injury or harm to spectators and advise their Steward Supervisor of the result
  • Observe the highest standards of Health and Safety and won't prejudice the health and safety of himself/herself or any Club employee or visitor
  • Attend the Stadium at given dates and times
  • Attend pre and post-match briefing/debriefing sessions and ensure all information is understood
  • Maintain a smart appearance and abide by the Club’s dress code, wear personal protective clothing issued and possess the Club Steward Safety Handbook.

Personal Requirements:

  • Safety Stewards take their duties seriously, are courteous at all times and are dedicated to the safety of spectators who attend The Memorial Stadium.
  • Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety is desirable, but training will be provided.
  • You must be a good communicator, have strong work ethics and be able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • You may need to attend fixtures on weekends, evenings and bank holidays, therefore a level of flexibility will be required.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and adhere to safety requirements.
  • Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
  • Only candidates over 18 will be considered

We have casual work opportunities available working across our stadium this upcoming season, we are seeking front of house, bar attendants and kiosks team members.

The Role/person

  • Jobs including engaging and serving customers.
  • Helping prep and serve food and drinks.
