This weekend, Port Vale are the opposition. In our last meeting with former Rovers boss Darrell Clarke's side, Rovers won 3-1 at Vale Park with Ryan Loft's first goal for Rovers securing the three points.

Port Vale boss Darrell Clarke has said to port-vale.co.uk that he is expecting a difficult test against his former club,
“It will be a good game to watch; two good teams having a go at each other. The league is competitive, they have had a great run of form like ourselves, one or two hiccups but other than that their home form has been very consistent and they have different ways of playing.
“Joey had a fantastic career and is doing very well as a manager; a lot of people will have opinions on Joey but I take people as I find them and I have always got on well with Joey, he is doing a cracking job there.”

Currently sitting in 9th place, two points outside the Play-Off places, with 29 points to their name up to this point in the campaign. The Valiants were victorious in their last league outing.
