The festive period is a treat for football fans with a packed calendar of football. This year, we’ve lined up a Christmas cracker for our game against Wycombe Wanderers on Boxing Day.

The club has earmarked this fixture as a Pledgeball special which means that fans will be in with the chance to make a change this Christmas.

As always, a Pledgeball fixture means the chance to WIN prizes and support our fans in keeping Bristol Rovers at the TOP of the Pledgeball League.

Read on to find out how you can be in with a chance to WIN Director for a Day, Quarters Training Ground Experience AND Away Match Director’s Guest.

With Wycombe within a few points in the table, on the pitch this is a great opportunity to end the calendar year with the chance to build some momentum. Off the pitch we currently top the Pledgeball League table, well ahead of current title holders Bristol City, who also have a Boxing Day Pledgeball fixture.

So what is a Pledgeball fixture and how can I get involved?

Pledgeball gives football fans the platform to take a stand on sustainability. Fans can show support for their team by making a pledge to cut down their carbon emissions and help their club climb the Pledgeball League Table. The idea is simple: the group of fans who have pledged to save the most carbon emissions by midnight on matchday will see their club at the top of the Pledgeball League.

Making a pledge is easy and automatically enters you into the club’s prize draw to win Director for a Day, Quarters Training Ground Experience AND Away Match Director’s Guest. To make your pledge and see the impact Gasheads are making, go here.

Can we hold onto the top spot in the Pledgeball League this weekend? Bristol Rovers fans have potential to make a change:

●  If there’s ever a time when people use leftovers it’s Boxing Day. If Rovers’ Twitter followers cooked leftovers and minimised all food waste, they would have the same impact as taking over 6000 cars off the road!

●  1 Adams Park worth of fans simply recycling everything correctly equates to taking over 2,500 cars off the road

The impact you can have by carrying out your pledge not only reduces emissions, but stretches beyond just your own action through the influence it has on friends, family and beyond.

Katie Cross, Founder of Pledgeball, said: "A Bristol Derby! Will Rovers hold onto the top spot in this crucial fixture? The Gas’ debut into the Pledgeball League has been stunning - I’d love to see them maintain this form through the season!"
