10102022 Jerry Lawrence Contract

Bristol Rovers have awarded a first professional playing contract to Jerry Lawrence.

Lawrence, the Academy's player of the season for the previous campaign, has made the first team squad this season, making his EFL debut as a substitute in the 4-0 win at Burton. The midfielder then made his full debut for the Gas at Plymouth in the Papa John's Trophy game in August.

Lawrence, 17, joined Rovers in their U11s and has completed his Academy journey, captaining the U18 side and travelling to Portugal with the first-team during pre-season.

He said:

"It`s a huge privilege to have signed professional terms at the club I've grown up with. I'm looking forward to seeing what the future has to offer."

Head of Academy Byron Anthony said:

"Everyone associated with the Academy is delighted for Jerry and his family that he has signed his first professional contract. Jerry’s attitude and application have been exceptional and he is a true role model for future Academy players.

"Jerry has high potential and will continue improving within the first-team environment, learning from experienced players."
