Bristol Rovers are top of the league - ahead of Burnley, Watford and Bristol City!
After a successful launch with the local charity Pledgeball, the Gas have taken the Pledgeball League by storm sitting top of the league.
Fans have stepped up to commit to change whilst being given the chance to WIN prizes including Director for the Day and The Quarters Training Ground Experience. Last season, our city rivals won the Pledgeball league so we're delighted to have kicked off this season's campaign so strongly.
This weekend, the Pledgeball campaign continues with our home game against Plymouth Argyle. As we aim to slow down Plymouth’s title charge on the pitch, off the pitch we want to boost our Pledgeball league credentials with another win.
Getting involved is simple. Fans can make a pledge (up until midnight on matchday) to take actions that will improve our air and our surroundings. The group of fans who have pledged to save the most carbon emissions by midnight on matchday will see their club win the Pledgeball fixture and climb the league table.
To enter the prize draw, make your pledge and see the impact that Bristol Rovers fans are making go HERE.
The more fixtures you pledge in support of Bristol Rovers, the more times you’re entered into the prize draw.
Bristol Rovers fans have the potential to make significant change:
● 1 capacity Mem minimising food waste saves the same amount of emissions as taking over 760 cars off the road
● 1 Memorial Stadium’s worth of fans hanging washing rather than tumble-drying it equates to taking over 1,200 cars off the road
● Rovers’ Twitter followers switching to energy-efficient lightbulbs equates to taking over 2,000 cars off the road
The impact we can have is enormous - not only through reducing our own emissions, but through the influence it has on friends, family and beyond.
Katie Cross, Pledgeball’s founder, said: "The Gas have completely stormed the Pledgeball League table, topping it by a fair margin and undoubtedly making the most impressive debut so far.
"I’d love to see them maintain their position as more clubs launch their 22/23 season campaigns - come on Gasheads - it’s in your hands!’"
