17.04.23 Awards Evening

Bristol Rovers will mark the end of the season with our yearly Awards Ceremony at Bristol’s Prop Yard – home to the recent Van Gogh Experience, on Monday 8th May.

As is now tradition, the club hosts these awards after the season has finished, giving us a chance to celebrate the successes of the campaign.

Prop Yard is owned and run by Rovers fan James Joiner, who joined our Head of Sales David Bright, at the venue last week to sign off on the event.

James said: "For me to be able to host the club I’ve watched since I was a boy, at my own venue, is why I got into business. You don’t get opportunities like this if you don’t put yourself out there and host events that put you on the map.

"I was really pleased that David and the team from Rovers came to us. We spent time looking at various options that having a site like ours offers, and we’ve now set upon a format that we are all very excited about."

David added: "We set the bar with last year's celebrations. Wherever we’d have had the awards, last year would have been great for all involved due to the promotion euphoria. It has meant that this year we’ve had to look at how we put on a great event to give everyone a chance to come along and celebrate the success of the 2022/23 League One campaign.

"Prop Yard gives us so many options for the format of the awards; when you’re standing in the courtyard on a sunny day in February, you can get carried away thinking that every day is like this, but as we know, the weather is not always on our side, so we have to make sure we cover all bases. As a team, we are excited to host the event there. James has a great venue and the staff he has working with him are really talented, from the bar team to the chefs. Anyone who knows James and the venue will know we’re in safe hands and we can’t wait for the evening there."

The club's board, staff, sponsors and 1883 Club members will be in attendance for the evening and will be joined by the playing squad, management and coaching team.

There is also an opportunity to sponsor the event!
