We are delighted to announce the signing of fan favourite Connor Taylor, who joins Rovers on an initial permanent three-year deal.
The defender, previously on loan at Rovers during the 2021/22 season, played 14 games in the Championship last season for Stoke.
The 21-year-old's previous spell at Rovers saw him start 41 games, scoring three goals in League 2, and become a pivotal member of the promotion-clinching squad.
Standing at 6'6, Taylor dominates in the air and covers ground exceptionally well as fans will remember from his goal in the historic 7-0 home win against Scunthorpe.
Rovers' boss Joey Barton said: "We are delighted to welcome Connor Taylor back to Bristol Rovers. He was a huge part of our team that won promotion out of League Two in the 21/22 season and it’s no secret that we’ve been trying to get him back with us sooner. That said, I’m sure he will be worth the wait. Connor is a top player, a great character and all the boys were happy to see him back at the Quarters for his medical and signing this week. He is a great addition and will strengthen us further as we start our 23/24 League One campaign on Saturday away at Portsmouth."
