The club can confirm that Trevor Clarke has joined Irish side Shamrock Rovers on loan with a view to a permanent transfer.
Defender Clarke has joined Rovers on a loan deal that will last until the 30th of November 2023.
The move sees Trevor return to his first club whom he made 80 appearances for between the years of 2016-2019 before departing his native Ireland to join Rotherham United in the summer of 2019.
Trevor joined Rovers in July 2021 on a one-year deal and made his debut for the Gas on the opening day of the 2021/22 season against Mansfield Town. His debut lasted 32 minutes before the defender picked up a groin injury which kept the Irishman out of the Rovers' side until October.
Trevor made 17 appearances for Rovers in his first season in BS7. He started in our iconic 7-0 victory over Scunthorpe United on the final day of the 2021/22 season, which saw Rovers clinch automatic promotion back to League One at the first time of asking.
Trevor scored his first Rovers goal in October 2022 in our 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace U21s in the Papa John's Trophy.
We would like to wish Trevor the very best during his time away from The Mem.
