Bristol Rovers are delighted to welcome Brentford players Matthew Cox and Tristan Crama on season-long loan deals.
Cox, 20, served as back-up to David Raya on 24 occasions, as well as playing for Brentford B during their Premier League Cup-winning campaign.
He was part of England's 2022 UEFA European U19 Championship squad and started in four of the team's five matches during their victorious campaign, being named in the Team of the Tournament. Last season, Cox was a member of England's 2023 U20 World Cup squad and made four appearances.
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank said Cox "has all the attributes a modern goalkeeper needs. He has very good positioning when coming for crosses and is a great shot stopper and with the ball at his feet. He has a hunger to acquire new tools in every training session, a mature personality and outstanding learning skills."
Centre-back Tristan Crama, who hails from France, joined Brentford from Béziers in 2020 and has regularly represented the B side - indeed, both Crama and Cox featured in this month's friendly with Rovers, which the Gas won 1-0 thanks to a Scott Sinclair strike.
Crama scored for Brentford against Rangers in a pre-season friendly in February 2022.
