Bristol Rovers is delighted to announce that James Wilson has signed a two-year deal with the club.
34-year-old Wilson joins Rovers from League One title-winning outfit Plymouth Argyle, making 41 appearances in the 2022-23 season, scoring one goal.
The defender, who was born in Newport, stands at 6'3 tall and has also enjoyed spells at Brentford, Sheffield United, Oldham, Lincoln as well as Ipswich.
He has one Wales cap, making his international debut in a 1-1 draw against Belgium in 2013.
Rovers' boss Joey Barton said: "We are delighted to secure James' services. He comes into our group having just done what we are aiming for; getting promoted out of League One.
"He was a standout performer for last season and he will be looking to enjoy similar success here. His experience and character will be huge for us this coming season."
