The club is delighted to announce that Elkan Baggott has joined on loan from Ipswich Town until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old defender has previously enjoyed loan spells at King’s Lynn Town, Gillingham and Cheltenham Town.
Baggott made history in April 2022 by becoming the first Indonesian player to play in the EFL.
He has been capped 24 times by his country and has scored two goals having made his international debut back in November 2021.
He featured 29 times for the Gills in the first half of the 2022/23 season before he joined Cheltenham for the second half of the campaign.
On his return to the Tractor Boys, he made four EFL Cup appearances this season before he travelled to Qatar to compete with Indonesia at the Asian Cup.
His side progressed through the group stages to become the lowest-ranked team in the knockout stage.
On joining Rovers, Baggott said "I've had a few chats with the manager. The way that the team plays here, the environment, it's something that I think really suits me. The setup is really good, so I think it gives me the best chance of performing at the highest level I can."
