5K Your Way with Taylor Moore returns!

Bristol Rovers Community Trust

Bristol Rovers Community Trust is delighted to invite everyone to the second instalment of "5k Your Way" with first-team defender Taylor Moore.

The inspiring mental health initiative looks to promote physical and mental well-being, encouraging participants to join in a 5K walk while engaging in open conversations about mental health. The initiative highlights the importance of combining physical activity with social connection to enhance mental health.

The initiative will start at 6:30pm on Thursday 30 January at SS Great Britain, with parking available at the Maritime Heritage Centre car park. Everyone can enjoy a 5k walk through the scenic Bristol Harbourside area, with dogs more than welcome.

The event returns after incredible success in October, where over 40 people, including fans, players, and members of the community took part in the local area to discuss their mental health and reflection in a calm and open environment.

Taylor Moore is the Health Ambassador for Bristol Rovers Community Trust, with the defender continuing to promote the important link between staying active and maintaining good mental health.

Discussing the initiative, Taylor said: "I was blown away by the support for the first ‘5K Your Way’ session. Seeing so many people come together to talk, walk, and support each other was amazing. Mental health is something I’m passionate about, and this initiative really shows the power of simple acts like walking and connecting with others.”

Community Trust CEO Adam Tutton reflected added: “We were thrilled with the turnout and positive energy at the first session. It reinforced how important initiatives like ‘5K Your Way’ are in breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and creating opportunities for meaningful connections. We’re excited to see even more people join us in January.”

No matter if you are searching for a way to connect, need support, or simply want to be part of something positive, “5K Your Way” is open to everyone. Come along and take this step towards better mental and physical health with your community.
