Bristol Rovers Football Club and Her Game Too are delighted to announce a re-partnership between the two entities.
The Club became the first English Football League club partner with Her Game Too when the campaign launched in summer 2021, with some of the Her Game Too’s founding members being Gasheads.
The partnership was paused in June 2023 but Her Game Too is excited to once again be working with the Club, supporting their commitment to providing an inclusive environment both on and off the pitch.
With a men’s side in League One and a women’s team in the Women’s National League Division One, the club has previously held Her Game Too dedicated fixtures, displayed campaign branding around the Memorial Stadium and provided front-of-shirt sponsorship on the Gas Girls’ away kit for the 2021/22 season.
Bristol Rovers have also hosted several Her Game Too events, including a First Time Fans experience when 20 women and girls attended their first football match in March 2023 and a watch party for the Women’s World Cup final between England and Spain in August 2023.
Head Of Media and Club Spokesperson Mitch Waddon said: “Bristol Rovers is delighted to once again partner with Her Game Too and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring women are fairly and equally represented in football.
“As sad as it is to say in 2025, reports of sexist abuse at football grounds across the country are still commonplace.
“Bristol Rovers is completely devoted to tackling sexism, listening intently to the issues affecting our female fans, players and employees, and pursuing the eradication of such behaviour.
“The work undertaken by Her Game Too has significantly contributed to great strides towards true equality in football, and everyone at the Club is excited to work closely with the team to further our aspirations of a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment in the sport for all people.”
The Her Game Too Bristol Rovers team, which consists of Gasheads Fiona Hibbs, Kelly Oxley, Caz Ford, Jess Noble, Becky Smith, Lucy Ford, Chloe Watts and Caz May, welcomed the partnership.
In a joint statement, they said: “We are absolutely delighted to be re-partnering with Bristol Rovers.
“We are looking forward to moving forward together and fostering a positive and mutually-supportive relationship.
“The board have already made significant strides in areas that align with our vision, such as officially taking on our women’s team, ensuring they have access to The Mem and shared use of the facilities at The Quarters.
“As an organisation founded by Gasheads, this partnership means the world to us and we hope that fellow Gasheads can appreciate the work we are doing both locally and globally.
“We’re excited for the future and the positive impact we can make together.”
Bristol Rovers will dedicate two upcoming fixtures to Her Game Too around International Women’s Day - the men’s team’s home match against Huddersfield Town on Saturday 8 March, and the women’s side’s home tie with Portishead Town on Sunday 16 March.
