Bristol Rovers loanee Daniel Ellison helped Aldershot Town reach Wembley for the first time on Saturday after the Shots beat Woking 2-1 in the semi-final of the Isuzu FA Trophy.

The Cardinals took a second-half lead through Lewis Walker just two minutes after Harry Beautyman was sent off for the visitors. However, Aldershot levelled the score with 15 minutes remaining, with James Henry's scoring from the penalty spot.

With the contest equal heading into stoppage time, Jack Barham headed in Ryan Jones' cross to send the Shots to Wembley, where they will face Spennymoor Town in the final on Sunday 11 May.

Ellison played for 71 minutes on the weekend before being replaced, with his side adding an extra striker to the mix to push for a leveller. The 20-year-old has made 17 appearances in the National League, with Aldershot sitting in 13th position with six games left.

The defender signed for the Gas from Chippenham Town in the summer on a two-year contract with the option of a further season.

Everyone at Bristol Rovers congratulates Dan and Aldershot for getting to the final of the Isuzu FA Trophy and wishes them luck against Spennymoor.
