Bristol Rovers can confirm a change in date and venue for the Women’s National League clash against Southampton Women’s Football Club.
The Gas Girls had been scheduled to play Southampton Women’s on 15 December 2024 but will now face them this Sunday, 29 September. Kick-off will remain at 2pm.
The fixture will be played, as a one-off, at Clifton College Sports Ground. Due to the nature of the complex, facilities for supporters will be basic so fans attending are advised to wrap up warm.
Due to the relocation, Sunday's clash with Southampton Women's FC will be free to attend.
The Club remains committed to ensuring Bristol Rovers Women complete their 2024/25 fixture schedule at The Memorial Stadium. However, in conjunction with Southampton Women’s FC and The FA, the Club was determined to ensure this fixture was played on the newly agreed date.
With two men’s home Sky Bet League One fixtures already scheduled for Saturday 28 September and Tuesday 1 October, featuring at The Mem was not a plausible option on this occasion.
