Bristol Rovers fell to a 3-0 defeat to Stevenage in Iñigo Calderón's first game as head coach of the Gas.
The Spaniard joined the Club on Boxing Day, and his team started brightly in the first 15 minutes but went behind after Elliott List got onto Luther James-Wildin's cross and sent his diving header into the bottom-left corner past Josh Griffiths.
The Gas went into the half-time break behind and wanted to respond after the restart but soon went down to ten men after Jamie Lindsay was sent off for his second booking.
Jordan Roberts added the Boro's second with a close range from the resulting free-kick before Jamie Reid added a third goal in the final stages.
