Bristol Rovers is delighted to announce that Kofi Shaw and Taylor Moore have been shortlisted for the EFL Awards 2025.

Shaw has been nominated EFL League One Apprentice of the Season – sponsored by LFE, after an impressive season in the third tier. The 18-year-old made his first league start for the Gas in a 3-2 loss away to Peterborough United in September before signing a fresh contract until 2027 with the Pirates and going out on loan to National League outfit Yeovil Town.

Shaw scored two goals in 16 appearances for the Glovers before being recalled back to Rovers and has made a big impact in the senior team. He has started the last seven fixtures in League One, putting in a man-of-the-match display in the Gas' thrilling 3-2 victory over Bolton Wanderers at The Memorial Stadium. Shaw is up against Exeter City's Jake Richards and Shrewsbury Town's Luca Whitney.

Taylor Moore has been nominated for the EFL Player in the Community – sponsored by the PFA. The defender has already been recognised as League One's Community Player of the Year for his work supporting mental health in the local community.

Moore's passion for mental health is rooted in lived experience after his mother attempted suicide last year. The 27-year-old created and launched '5K Your Way,' which encourages participants to exercise whilst speaking about their mental health. Over 40 participants attended the first walk, and it has become a regular event, with numbers increasing every time.

He has made 30 appearances for the Gas since singing in the summer and is up against Norwich City's Jack Stacey and Doncaster Rovers' Joseph Olowu for the award.

This season, part of the EFL Awards will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football from 8:30pm.

Everyone at Bristol Rovers wishes Kofi and Taylor the best at the EFL Awards 2025.
