Opposition...

Blackpool are in League One for the second consecutive year after being relegated from the Championship in the 2022-23 season. The Tangerines looked for an immediate return to the second-tier last campaign but finished eighth in the table.

The Pool started the term under Neil Critchley, but he departed after back-to-back defeats. Steve Bruce took over an had an immediate impact, becoming the first manager in their history to lead them to four straight wins in his first four in charge.

However, Blackpool have struggled recently and are winless in eight league outings, losing five. They are in 19th position, four points behind the Gas.

They brought in plenty of attacking options in the summer. Jordan Rhodes scored 15 goals last season on loan from Huddersfield Town and made his move permanent, with Ashley Fletcher also moving on a free transfer from Watford.

Talented forward Dom Ballard also made the temporary move from Southampton. There will also be a familiar face in the Blackpool ranks, with Elkan Baggott moving on loan from Ipswich Town after spending time with Rovers last campaign.
