Bristol Rovers v Charlton Athletic
Sky Bet League One, The Memorial Stadium, Saturday 1 October, 7:45
Bristol Rovers will host Charlton Athletic in Sky Bet League One to start a busy October.
The Gas play eight matches across two competitions this month and will be looking to return to winning ways after losing 2-1 to Wycombe Wanderers in their previous outing.
Scott Sinclair’s opener was cancelled out by a superb strike from Daniel Harvie before the Chairboys completed the comeback in the final seconds through Joe Low’s header.
Charlton lost 1-0 to Stevenage in their previous outing, with Jordan Roberts scoring the only goal in the second half.

Opposition...
Charlton have been in League One since the 2020/21 campaign and will attempt to improve on their sixteenth-place finish in the previous term. Alfie May scored 27 league goals last season but was sold to promotion favourites Birmingham City ahead of the new campaign.
Charlton won one of their four matches in the third tier in September, beating Shrewsbury Town 1-0. Nathan Jones’ men travel to The Memorial Stadium after two successive defeats, losing to Blackpool and Stevenage.
Nevertheless, they are in eighth position and only one point outside the playoffs.
Charlton replaced May with Gassan Ahadme in the transfer window, with the forward signing permanently from Ipswich Town after scoring eleven goals in 29 league outings for Cambridge United last season.
Dan Potts and Luke Berry also moved on a free transfer from Luton Town, with the latter of the duo making seventeen appearances and netting twice in the Premier League last season.
Matt Godden was another notable addition. He was a consistent figure for Coventry City in the Championship for the previous four campaigns.
Previous Meetings...
Rovers have a good record against Charlton and have won the previous four meetings in League One.
The Pirates won 2-1 at The Valley last term before triumphing by the same margin at The Memorial Stadium, with Chirs Martin scoring a brace, including a stoppage-time winner.
