Bristol Rovers v Exeter City
Bristol Street Motors Trophy, The Memorial Stadium, Tuesday 29 October, 7:00pm
Bristol Rovers will attempt to return to winning ways when they host Exeter City in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy on Tuesday.
The Gas lost 1-0 away to Reading in Sky Bet League One on Saturday, with Sam Smith scoring the winner in the second half, but Matt Taylor’s men have been strong at home in October, winning both games at The Memorial Stadium.
The Pirates have collected one point from their two games in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, losing 4-0 away to Swindon Town in their previous outing.
Exeter have won both games in the competition and are at the top of Southern Group G.

Opposition...
Exeter are already through to the knockout stages of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy after earning six points from their first two games. The Grecians opened their campaign with a 2-1 win over Swindon before beating Tottenham Hotspur U21s 2-0.
Exeter have been one of the teams to watch in League One this season and have collected 19 points from 12 games to sit just outside the playoffs. Gary Caldwell’s men have lost back-to-back games against Reading and Huddersfield Town but previously kept six consecutive clean sheets in all competitions.
Previous Meetings...
Rovers beat Exeter in their previous meeting, coming away with a 1-0 victory at St James Park in League One thanks to a goal from Brandon Aguilera. However, it is the Gas’ only triumph over the Grecians in their last eight meetings.
The Pirates’ last win over Exeter at The Memorial Stadium came back in April 2016, with Billy Bodin, Lee Brown and Matt Taylor scoring in a 3-1 victory.
