Bristol Rovers v Peterborough United
Sky Bet League One, The Memorial Stadium, Sunday 2 February, 3:00pm
Bristol Rovers will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Peterborough United at The Memorial Stadium on Sunday.
The Gas have lost their last two matches in Sky Bet League One, falling to back-to-back 2-0 away defeats to Wigan Athletic and Charlton Athletic.
The defeat to the Addicks was their most recent loss, with Matty Godden and Josh Edwards scoring two first-half goals on Tuesday night. Back-to-back defeats followed a positive spell for Rovers, who secured consecutive wins over Cambridge United and Barnsley under new head coach Iñigo Calderón.
Peterborough beat Wigan in their last outing, with Mahamadou Susoho scoring his first goal for the Posh in a 1-0 triumph.

Opposition...
Peterborough secured their first victory in nine League One outings against Wigan on Tuesday night, with Darren Ferguson’s men now six points above the relegation zone. The Posh were expected to be around the playoff positions after a sixth and fourth-place finish in the last two seasons but are towards the bottom of the table after losing some key players in the summer.
Before their win over the Latics, the Posh had only won one of their 12 games in the third tier, falling to eight defeats in that time, including losses to Burton Albion and Northampton Town. The win over Wigan was especially impressive after falling to a 5-1 defeat away to Lincoln City, with Ferguson hoping that his side have now turned a corner.
They have made three defensive reinforcements in the January transfer window, adding Tayo Edun and Carl Johnston permanently from Charlton Athletic and Fleetwood Town, respectively, whilst Sam Hughes has been brought in on loan from Stockport County. Peterborough have also seen Joel Randall depart after making 109 appearances for the club.

Previous Meetings...
Rovers have lost their last three games against Peterborough, with the Posh coming away with a 3-2 victory in the reverse fixture this season. Kwame Poku, Ricky-Jade Jones and Malik Mothersille put them in a 3-0 lead before two goals in as many minutes from Luke McCormick and Gatlin O’Donkor gave the Gas a chance, but the hosts stayed strong to collect all three points.
Rovers’ last victory over the Posh came in 2022 when Scott Sinclair scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at The Memorial Stadium.
