Bristol Rovers v Stevenage
Sky Bet League One, The Memorial Stadium, Monday 21 April, 3:00pm KO
Bristol Rovers will be looking to continue their momentum from their Good Friday performance against Wrexham when they host Stevenage on Monday.
The Gas ended their six-game losing streak with a 1-1 draw against the promotion hopefuls, with Taylor Moore heading in his first goal for the Pirates before Matty James salvaged a point for the Red Dragons with a finish into the bottom corner.
It was a spirited display from the Gas, who are only inside the relegation zone on goal difference, with Burton Albion in the position above with a game in hand. However, a victory against Boro would give Rovers every chance of ending the day outside the bottom four before their home fixture against Reading at The Mem.
Stevenage lost 3-1 at home to Blackpool in their previous fixture, with Rob Apter scoring a hat-trick in 12 second-half minutes for the Tangerines before Carl Piergianni netted a consolation.

Opposition...
Stevenage are having another solid season in League One after gaining promotion to the third tier from League Two in the 2022-23 campaign. Boro ended their last campaign in ninth but are further down the table this time, with Alex Revell's men in fifteenth position.
Finishing 2024 just one position above where they are now after beating Rovers, not much has changed for Stevenage. However, they will be looking to end the season strongly after losing four of their previous five fixtures. Their only victory in that time came in a home match against Crawley in their second game in April.
Despite losing back-to-back games at The Mem, Rovers will want the positive home form that saw them beat Huddersfield Town and Bolton Wanderers to return against Stevenage. Boro are without a victory on their travels since beating Cambridge United 1-0 in early March.

Previous Meetings...
Iñigo Calderón's first game as Rovers' new head coach came against Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium, but it was not a happy start in the dugout at the Gas, with Boro coming away with a 3-0 victory. Elliott List headed in the opener to give the hosts the lead at half-time. Jordan Roberts then added their second after the break moments after Jamie Lindsay was sent off, with Jamie Reid netting the third goal in the final stages.
It was the Pirates' only defeat against Stevenage in their previous four meetings with their upcoming opponents. Last term, the Gas drew 1-1 with Boro at The Mem, with Chris Martin scoring his first goal for the club with a clever chip from 35 yards to cancel out Reid's opener.
