Lincoln City v Bristol Rovers
Sky Bet League One, LNER Stadium, Saturday 15 March, 3:00pm KO
Bristol Rovers will be searching for their third successive win in Sky Bet League One when they travel to Lincoln City.
The Gas ended their four games winless run with a 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town before coming out on the right side of a five-goal against Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night. The Trotters twice cancelled out Chris Martin's goals that had put Rovers 1-0 and 2-1 ahead, but Connor Taylor came up with the decisive moment minutes before the end to give Iñigo Calderón’s men a massive victory.
Back-to-back triumphs have pushed the Pirates up to 17th position in the table and nine points away from the relegation zone with ten matches left to play. The Gas will want to keep their winning run going and turn around their away form, as they are without a win on their travels since beating Cambridge United at the start of January.
Lincoln lost 1-0 to Birmingham City in their last outing, with Kieran Dowell scoring the only goal from the penalty spot at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.

Opposition...
Lincoln finished two points outside the playoffs last season but have struggled to replicate their success this term. The Imps are sitting comfortably in 13th position, 14 points away from the playoffs and 13 points away from the relegation zone.
Lincoln have struggled for form and have only won two of their last nine matches in the third tier, with draws against Wigan Athletic and Cambridge United and a loss to Burton Albion hurting their promotion hopes.
However, Michael Skubala’s men will be confident of getting a positive result after an impressive 4-1 victory against Crawley Town in their previous home fixture and will want to make it back-to-back triumphs at LNER Stadium for the first time since October.

Previous Meetings...
Rovers have had a difficult time against Lincoln recently and are winless in their previous six matches against the Imps, who have twice scored five in that time. The Gas drew 1-1 with their upcoming opponents in the reverse fixture at The Memorial Stadium, with Shaq Forde netting a sublime opener before Jack Moylan scored a second-half equaliser.
However, the Gas have lost their last two matches at LNER Stadium and will be looking to avoid a third successive loss for the first time since November 1983.
The Pirates’ last win away at Lincoln came back in October 2020. The Imps led through Lewis Montsma’s header before goals from James Daly and Brandon Hanlan.
