Reading v Bristol Rovers
Sky Bet League One, Select Car Leasing Stadium, Saturday 26 October, 12:30pm
Bristol Rovers will look to complete back-to-back victories in Sky Bet League One when they face Reading on Saturday.
The Gas returned to winning ways with a 1-0 triumph over Shrewsbury Town at The Memorial Stadium, with Jamie Lindsay firing his first-time strike into the top-left corner.
It was the Pirates' third win in the third tier in four outings in October, previously beating Charlton Athletic and Burton Albion.
Reading beat Exeter City 2-1 in their last outing, with Harvey Knibbs and Jayden Wareham in the goals.
Tickets...
Tickets can be purchased by card only at the gate on Saturday at non-member prices.
Travel...
If travelling by car, start on the M4 Eastbound. Follow the M4 for approximately 75 miles until you reach Junction 11, signposted for Reading. Take the exit and merge onto the A33 towards Reading Central. Continue on the A33 for about two miles, then turn right onto Imperial Way. Follow to the stadium, which should be on your right.
If travelling by train, the nearest station is Reading Green Park station, which takes approximately 15 minutes to walk from the stadium.
Opposition...
Reading are playing in League One for the second successive season after being relegated from the Championship in the 2022-23 campaign. The Royals finished in 17th position last term, staying well above the relegation zone despite getting a six-point deduction.
They have had a good start to the season and are only outside of the playoffs on goal difference after collecting 19 points from their first 11 games. The hosts have been in impressive form and have won four of their previous five games in the third tier.
They made one summer signing, bringing in Chem Campbell from Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan until January. He has plenty of League One experience after two temporary spells at Wycombe Wanderers and one at Charlton.
Femi Azeez departed for Championship outfit Millwall in the transfer window, and Clinton Mola, who moved to the Gas, was another notable outgoing.
Previous Meetings...
Rovers collected a 1-1 draw at the Select Leasing Car Stadium last season, with Chris Martin cancelling out Sam Smith’s opener.
However, the Pirates have lost five of their last seven games against the Royals, last winning 6-0 in 1999.
