Shrewsbury Town v Bristol Rovers
Sky Bet League One, The Croud Meadow, Tuesday 4 March, 7:45pm KO
Bristol Rovers will be looking to end their three-game losing streak when they travel to Shrewsbury Town in Sky Bet League One.
The Gas fell to back-to-back away defeats to Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town before a disappointing 3-2 loss to Rotherham United at The Memorial Stadium on the weekend.
Sil Swinkels levelled the score a 2-2 after goals from Sam Nombe and Zak Jules put the Millers ahead following Ruel Sotitirou’s opener for Rovers inside five minutes. It looked like the points would be shared on Saturday, but Nombe scrambled in a late winner to help Steve Evans’ men to a last-gasp victory.
Shrewsbury lost 3-1 to Peterborough United in their previous outing, with Tayo Edun, Malik Mothersille and Chris Conn-Clarke scoring for the Posh.

Opposition...
Shrewsbury are having a difficult season and are currently at the bottom of League One, eight points from safety with 12 games remaining.
Gareth Ainsworth took charge of the Shrews in November and started perfectly, collecting an impressive 3-2 victory over runaway leaders Birmingham City in his first match in the dugout. Nevertheless, indifferent form has stunted their survival hopes.
Triumphs over Lincoln City and Wrexham certainly turned heads, but it was their only wins of December and January, respectively, meaning it did not make much of a dent in the table. February started fabulously with back-to-back wins over Mansfield Town and Rotherham United, but Salop is now winless in five outings heading towards the end of the season. They are also on a hard run at home and have lost their last three matches at Croud Meadow.
They will also be without former Rovers player John Marquis, with the striker receiving a red card 13 seconds into their 3-1 loss to Peterborough on Saturday.

Previous Meetings...
Rovers have a strong record against Shrewsbury and have only lost one of their last seven outings against their upcoming opponents. The Gas beat the Shrews in the reverse fixture this term, also on a Tuesday night, with Jamie Lindsay’s fine finish helping them to a 1-0 victory.
The Pirates have won three of their last four matches at Croud Meadow, coming away with a 2-0 victory last term thanks to goals from Marquis and Aaron Collins.
Salop’s last win over the Gas came in May 2023, with Luke Leahy and Rob Street scoring in a 2-1 triumph.
