Stevenage v Bristol Rovers
Sky Bet League One, Lamex Stadium, Sunday 29 December, 3:00pm
Iñigo Calderón will be in charge of Bristol Rovers for the first time when they travel to Stevenage on Sunday.
The Gas will be looking to bounce back from an unlucky 3-1 defeat away to Exeter City in Sky Bet League One on Boxing Day. Promise Omochere’s second-half opener was overturned by goals from Jack Fitzwater, Millenic Alli and Jake Richards.
Calderón was appointed as the Pirates’ head coach on Thursday and will be looking to change Rovers’ fortunes. The Gas are three points above the relegation zone heading into the final match of 2024.
Stevenage lost 3-0 to Wycombe Wanderers in their last outing. Richard Kone netted a first-half brace before Beryly Lubala added a third after the break.
