Wycombe Wanderers v Bristol Rovers
Sky Bet League One, Adams Park Stadium, Tuesday 18 February 2025, 7.45pm KO
Bristol Rovers face another quick turnaround in Sky Bet League One action with a trip to face promotion-chasing Wycombe Wanderers.
The Chairboys are in fine form, sat second in the division, but drew 1-1 with Crawley Town in their last outing.
Rovers’ will be looking to take recent home form into their away fixtures. Defeats on the road against Charlton Athletic and Wigan Athletic in recent weeks have meant the Gas have endured a difficult time away from home, but have found confidence from ten points collected in the last four home fixtures.
Tickets…
Supporters should note that tickets for this fixture go off-sale on Monday 17 February 2025 at 4pm.
Pay on the day is available at Adams Park Stadium for Bristol Rovers supporters but is available by card payment only.

Travel…
Travelling to Wycombe is a relatively straightforward endeavour from Bristol, with Adams Park Stadium the closest away fixture remaining for the Gas this season.
If driving, supporters are advised to allow two hours for the journey. Fans travelling from Bristol could utilise the M4 east before taking the A404 into Berkshire, and then linking up onto the A4010. Alternatively, leave the M4 at junction 13, onto the A34, and head south-east around Oxford before joining the A4010.
If travelling by train, supporters should note that there are regular routes through from Bristol Temple Meads to High Wycombe, with changes at Didcot Parkway and Oxford. However, all return journeys will cease before the final whistle at Adams Park Stadium on Tuesday evening so alternative arrangements would need to be made.
Opposition…
What a season Wycombe Wanderers are having.
Amid the expectation surrounding teams like Birmingham City, Hollywood-backed AFC Wrexham, former Premier League outfit Huddersfield Town and others, it is the Chairboys who are looking like being this season’s surprise promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.
One of the EFL’s great entertainers this season, Wycombe have already scored 56 goals this campaign; by far the most of any team in the division. However, 31 goals conceded is also the most of any team inside the top seven, showing that the Blues do let finishes in as well as scoring plenty themselves.

Not that getting anything from Adams Park will be easy. Wycombe have lost just four times this campaign in the league, with two of those defeats coming on home soil.
Wycombe fans will be hoping a change of Head Coach will not derail what has all the makings of a memorable campaign.
With Matt Bloomfield heading for Luton Town and the EFL Championship, former Sunderland assistant Mike Dodds has stepped into his first full-time head coach position. Two draws in his first two games offer very little insight, but home supporters will be eager for that first victory when Rovers visit on Tuesday evening.
Previous Meetings…
Wycombe Wanderers have not been Bristol Rovers’ favourite opponent in recent years.
The Pirates have lost their last six games against the Chairboys in Sky Bet League One, and have not collected victory over Tuesday’s opponents in the last eight fixtures.
You have to go back to August 2018 for the last time the Gas claimed all three points versus Wycombe, albeit that win did come at Adams Park!
First-half goals from defenders James Clarke and Tony Craig would prove to be the difference that afternoon, with Wycombe hitting back through Scott Kashket’s late finish.
