Bristol Rovers Women is thrilled to announce the signing of Meg Jarvis.

Jarvis is a talented centre forward who brings a wealth of experience from her time with Swindon Town, Bristol City, and Bridgewater.

"When I first came along, I felt so welcomed into the environment and that was down to both players and coaching staff. I felt as if each individual was positive and ambitious," she said.

"Personally, a good environment is important to me, where everyone is working towards the same goals, and I knew this was the case at Bristol Rovers even before any discussions.

"When I did have talks, I understood what the club is about and felt it was right for me and what I want in a football environment."

With clear personal and professional goals, Meg is determined to make a significant impact at Bristol Rovers Women.

"My overall aim is to be an asset to the club and help take them to the highest level possible," she stated. "A personal goal of mine is to keep improving on and off the pitch but also do my job and score a lot of goals" she said.

Reflecting on her proudest career moment, Meg highlighted her first season playing in America.

"It took time to get used to and adjust, however, I am proud of my determination and hard work which led to becoming freshman of the year," she recalled.

"It shaped me as a player as I understood what was needed to achieve things in a new environment and what it took to cement myself into it, and also how hard I needed to work to achieve the things I did."

"As long as the fans can see I’m working hard for the club and giving my all each week, I can manage my pressure and expectations."

Manager Nathan Hallett-Young is equally enthusiastic about Meg's arrival and her potential contributions.

"Meg is a brilliant centre-forward. She will contribute to the goals department, and I’m excited to see how she gets on," he said.

"What she’s brought to training already is some real strengths to her playing style, fostering some good opportunities to link up with our midfield and a ruthlessness in front of goal."

"We’ve already had two training sessions with her, and she has been a perfect fit for our more tactical style of the game," he noted.

"Meg provides excellent hold-up play and is a strength in the centre for us to be able to link the midfield and allow our wide forwards to get up the pitch."

The manager is also impressed by Meg's commitment to the club’s vision. "The big thing for us is that Meg is fully on board with the project that we are trying to put into place at the club. She’s keen to help us move forward, and she understands that we have big ambitions to keep growing as a club," he added.

"She’s got great access to technical coaching, analytics, sports psychology, and strength and conditioning, which will help keep performances high. We are excited to have her on board, and as a club, we’d love to see what Meg can do to reach that next level."

We look forward to witnessing Meg's contributions in the upcoming season, and we welcome her to the club!
