Rovers win inaugural Talk Club Cup

Talk Club Cup

Bristol Rovers won the inaugural Talk Club Cup on an unforgettable night at The Memorial Stadium.

Brought together by the Bristol Rovers Community Trust, Bristol City Robins Foundation, and Talk Club, the two sides of Bristol combined for a memorable, family-friendly charity football match to raise money for men's mental health. All money raised will help support the imperative mental health programs these three charities run to help people across the city.

There was plenty of entertainment and fun activities ahead of the fixture for families to enjoy.

Former Bristol Rovers and Bristol City players, alongside local celebrities, came down to The Mem to battle it out for a brilliant cause.

Rovers scored twice in quick succession in the first half, with Steve Elliott breaking the deadlock in the first half before Jamie Cureton doubled the Gas' lead from close range moments later. The Robins netted either side of half-time to level, but Barry Hales fired in the winner to give the Gas the victory.
