Matt Hall started his football career at Chelsea before joining Southampton at Under-15s level. The goalkeeper progressed through the youth ranks at the Saints and had loan spells at Totton, Harrow Borough and Melksham Town. 

  However, he failed to make a senior appearance for the Premier League side and moved to Bristol Rovers in July 2023, regularly featuring on the bench for the Gas. He made his senior debut in a 3-3 draw against Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
